Edward Walter Piwowarski, Jr., beloved husband and father, went home to our Lord at the age of 68 on September 18, 2018 in Joliet, Illinois surrounded by his family. Born and raised in the McKinley Park neighborhood of Chicago to the late Edward and Ann Piwowarski, Ed spent most of his life in the Chicago area. Over the span of fifty years, Ed worked in construction management with a variety of state and county agencies. Ed is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (nee Fairclough), his three sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Sara (nee Wimunc), Rick and Ashley (nee Kuhl), and Nick and Emily (nee Quinn), and his grandsons Cody, Aaron, Ian, Nicholas and Benjamin. Until the very end, Ed loved and sacrificed for his family and his love will continue through them. He was a life-long fan of the Chicago Bears, Corvettes, golf, fishing and Winston cigarettes. Polka dancing, admiring Hot Rods, barbecues with family and friends, summers in Shadow Lakes driving the boat, and doing whatever he could for his boys are hallmarks of his life and legacy.
Family and friends will be received at the Becvar and Son Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th Street, Crestwood, on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
