George was my Dad's youngest brother. Uncle George was a constant presence in our lives -- he walked my sister, Sean, down the aisle at her wedding, he gave the invocation at my son Steve's Eagle Scout ceremony and spoke at Doug's, and he came to a big award ceremony for me. And he was there not only for the big events but the little ones, as well. When Steve and Keelyn were about three, I took them to visit him at the firehouse, where he demonstrated sliding down the old brass pole. He let them sound the siren, as well. We loved George and are sad that he has died.

Mick, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved George. Losing your husband is the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with so I am here for you anytime. As you move thru the next days and weeks let your happy memories of George carry you thru. Cry when you feel like it and laugh also. I will be just 1 call away anytime you need me.
