I was so sorry to hear about the unexpected loss of Rick. I am still in shock myself. I hadn’t seen Rick in years, yet I have fond memories of him being a warm, outgoing, friendly, and just generally a nice guy thru that tough exterior. I remember when he started dating his wife, Chrissy and how happy they were that they met and fell in love. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy at this tragic time.

Wow, I'm just at a loss for words. Rick was always so kind to me whenever I was working at the rink. He had a gentle way about him and his humor was always a joy to experience. Certainly won't be the same at the Ice Rink. He will be sorely missed!

I am shocked, stunned and saddened to hear of Rick's passing. To Christine, Richard and Anthony, please accept my condolences...He is in my thoughts and prayers.

It was my pleasure to know Rick for nearly 45 years through hockey at SIA. We even hung out a few times as kids, with Rick coming over to my house. During my times playing high school hockey and various men's leagues I was able to develop a friendship with Rick (and Frank Sr. & Frank Jr.) that still lasts to this day. Any time I would stop by the rink office, I always looked forward to sitting and talking with Rick.

Truthfully, you couldn't help but warm to Rick because he had such a great sense of humor and always treated everyone with respect and kindness. Honestly, I don't think I ever say him get mad at anyone. I last spoke with him in summer of 2016. He related stories about Richard and Anthony and how proud he was of them. We also talked about how time flies by so fast and that we both grew old (gracefully).

Rick was a tremendous human being, a wonderful husband, terrific father, a good friend, and you couldn't find a better man. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers and wish you all the best. Hold on to the memories and smile / laugh and appreciate the time you did have with him. Take solace in knowing the God is holding him close. Rick was the best!
