IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Annmarie Gorecki
Devine
December 14, 1957 – June 4, 2025
Annmarie Gorecki Devine, age 67, passed away peacefully in the early hours of June 4, 2025, in Henderson, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 14, 1957, in Blue Island, Illinois, Annmarie was the beloved daughter of the late Dr. Joseph F. Gorecki and LaVerne Gorecki. A devoted mother, Annmarie's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her children: Billy (Courtney), Kerry (Chris Sensenbrenner), Joseph, and Zachary. She was a proud and doting grandmother to Sloane and Sutton Sensenbrenner, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of another grandchild later this year. Annmarie is also survived by her loving siblings: Joseph F. III (Catherine) Gorecki, Dr. David J. (Joanne) Gorecki, Daniel J. (Brenda) Gorecki, Jude (Brett Garrison) King, Cathy (Bruce) Schmiedl, John J. (Janet) Gorecki, and Christopher P. Gorecki. A treasured aunt, godmother, and friend to many, Annmarie was a constant source of love and kindness.
Annmarie's deep faith and generous spirit were guiding forces throughout her life. She was a regular volunteer at the Holy Name Catholic Church, Owensboro Catholic Schools, and the American Red Cross, embodying a life of service and compassion. Her home was always open, her heart even more so, and she extended her care to every person—and animal—she encountered, including her faithful dog, Roxy.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Anthony's Hospice in honor of the loving care they provided: St. Anthony's Hospice Giving Tree. (https://stanthonyshospice.org/the-giving-tree/)
