Arthur E. Lorenz, age 81, died on September 20th at Loyola Hospital. Retired Lt., U.S. Army Reserve. He was a resident of Palos Park for many years, now living in Lemont. Beloved husband of Kathryn, nee Ruzicka. Loving father of Kathy Mitchener, Joe (Kathleen) and Elizabeth (David) Garvey. Cherished grandfather of Nathan, Matthew and Sarah Mitchener, Steven and Kate Lorenz, Jack and JJ Garvey. Fond brother-in-law of Tom And Frank Ruzicka, uncle and good friend of many. Visitation Sunday, October 4, 2015, 1-3 P.M. at Palos Park Presbyterian Community Church, 12312 S. 88th Ave., Palos Park, followed by Celebration of Life Memorial Service. Interment Bohemian National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Purdue Foundation, "In Memory of Art Lorenz" (403 W. Wood Street, West Lafayette, IN 47907-2007), supporting the Joseph Ruzicka Undergraduate Fellowship, an endowment created by Art and Kathryn to support undergraduate students who participate in summer research projects in the College of Science at Purdue University where they built many fond memories, friends and family.
