Charles A. Gress, 85 of Blue Island, Illinois passed away at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital in Palos Heights, Illinois on April 26, 2022.

He was born on February 8, 1937 to Andrew J. Gress and Adeline T. (Chojda) Gress.  Charles was the second born of thirteen children.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Adeline Gress; as well as by four of his siblings, Dolores (the late Joseph) Lopresti, Andrew (Patricia) Gress, Leonard Gress, and Nancy Gress.  Survived by his siblings:  Eleanor (the late James) White, James (Patricia) Gress, Eugene (Victoria) Gress, George Gress, Ronald (Jean) Gress, Robert (the late Janet) Gress, Patrick (Marsha) Gress, and Darlene (Michael) Pudzimis.  We will miss our beloved brother and brother-in-law.  Charlie was also dearly loved by 28 nieces and nephews, and 48 great and 8 great-great nieces and nephews.  An uncle 84 times over.
