David Lenard

David Lenard passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 27th, 2026. David was an admired basketball and baseball coach, an avid Chicago sports fan, and the best turkey chef around. More than anything he was a devoted husband, loving father, and loyal friend.

He is survived by his loving wife Diane, daughter Ashley (Alex) Vrabel, sons Andrew (Karen) and Anthony, granddaughter Maeve Vrabel and soon to be baby Lenard (Andrew and Karen). David is preceded in death by his parents Dolores and Andrew Lenard. David was the loving brother of Andrea (the late John) Karl, Gail (Ron) Loomis and the late Thomas Lenard. In addition, he was a loving son in law, brother in law, uncle, and friend to many more. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Friday, April 10th 4PM to 7 PM at the Becvar & Son Funeral Home (5539 W 127th Street Crestwood Illinois). Family and friends will meet for a Memorial Mass at St. Christina's Catholic Church (3342 W 111th Street Chicago Illinois) on Saturday April 11th at 9:30 AM followed by internment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetary (6001 W 111th Street Alsip, Illinois).  For more information: (708)824-9000 or to sign the guestbook at www.becvarfuneralhome.com
