Dorothy H. Novotney, nee Maurer, 84 years. Beloved wife of the late Thomas for 55 years. Loving mother of Beth (Lorell), Lori (Christopher) Hawkins, Susan (Eric) Long, Thomas (Marjorie), James (Sandy), and Amy (Tim). Cherished "gramma" of Alice (Shane) Brett, Jalissa, Erica (Johnny), Jimmy, Devin, Rebecca, Joshua, Lily, Olivia, Victoria, and Thomas. Beloved sister of Art (Nancy) Maurer and Betty (Bill) Kohl. Fond aunt and friend of many. She cherished her Friday morning Dunkin Donuts meetings with friends.

Dorothy was an active member of the Evergreen Park community. She was a preschool teacher at the Evergreen Park Recreation Department, President of the Evergreen Park Senior Council, and a regular volunteer at the Office of Citizen services. She was a proud parishioner of Most Holy Redeemer where she was a member of the church choir.

Visitation Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  Funeral Monday, April 28th beginning with Chapel Prayers at 9:00 A.M. from the Becvar & Son Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th Street, Crestwood, to Most Holy Redeemer Church, 9525 Lawndale Avenue, Evergreen Park, for a 10:00 A.M Mass.  Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
