Janice A. Kocek, 75 years.  Beloved mother of Jill (Tony) Aardsma, Dan Cosme, Mick (Beth) Cosme, Tim (Colleen) Cosme, and Scott Cosme.  Dear companion of Steve Gibson.  Loving Babi of Jake, Ruby, Lucas, Zach, Preston, Wyatt, and Nathan.  Fond sister of George (Cathy) Kocek.  After retiring from 42 years of teaching in the Chicago Public Schools, Jan was a caregiver for her mother for over three years.  Jan loved children and animals.  For the past 10+ years of her retirement, she volunteered at PAWS (holding positions on the Board of Directors) and Lake Katherine (education specialist).  Jan also reprised her role as a Girl Scout Leader to help lead her granddaughter's troop.
