Joan Eleanor Schergen, nee Finn, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at the age of 94. Devoted wife of Mathias J. Schergen for 72 years. Beloved mother of Mathias (Vanessa) Schergen, the late Timothy (Diane) Schergen, Thomas (Debbie) Schergen, Michael (Cathy) Schergen, Mary (Steve) Connolly, the late Joan (Joe) Graziano, Steven (Rita) Schergen, Beverly (the late George) Shaw, Susan Schergen, Marc (Barb) Schergen, John (Terry) Schergen, and the late Cheryl Schergen. Loving Gramma of 33 and Great-Gramma of 40. Dear sister of the late Norrine Janecek, the late Daniel Finn, the late James Finn, the late Mary Giblin, the late John "Jack" Finn, the late Robert Finn, the late Patrick Finn, and Michael "Mickey" Finn. Sister-In-Law to the late Bette Tobin. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Joan's greatest pride is her large and loving family legacy. She had a strong devotion to her faith and to her many friends throughout her lifetime. Joan never missed an opportunity to laugh and party with those she loved! Visitation Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Becvar & Son Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th Street, Crestwood. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. the following morning, Wednesday, January 21st, at St. Damian Catholic Church, 5250 155th Street, Oak Forest. Interment Private.
