On the morning of September 17, 2024, Joan Sirak passed away peacefully due to natural causes. She was 94 years old. Joan was born on October 12, 1929, to Benjamin and Marcela Vlk in Chicago, IL, where she lived most of her life. Joan had a younger sister, Sylvia. On September 15, 1951, she married George A. Sirak (deceased). They had two children, Karen and Randal. Later in life, she lived in Murrieta, CA, and then Sanger, TX, where she passed. Joan was a strong and independent woman who loved her family. Even in her later years, she did not want to burden anyone and continued to live independently for as long as she could. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents, Benjamin and Marcela; her daughter, Karen A. Palys; and brother-in-law, Robert Raczyk. Remaining to cherish her memory are her son, Randal G. Sirak, and wife, Dee; son-in-law, Fred Palys; grandchildren, Randee Wynn and husband Mark, Kevin Palys, Michelle Larson and husband Ryan, and Steven Sirak, along with great-grandchildren, Christopher Wynn, Cash and Stella Larson. A sister, Sylvia Raczyk, her children, their spouses and children also survive her.
