John W. Tassie, age 80, U.S. Navy Veteran.  Beloved husband of Kathleen, nee Gregg.  Loving father of Shawn (Leslie), and Jennifer (Mark) McCabe.  Dear grandfather of Zachary, Alex, Payton, Riley, and Avery.  Fond brother of Pat Bickness and the late Shirley McGrath.  Cherished friend of the members from Midlothian VFW Post 280 and many others.  Dedicated member of the American Legion.  A special thank you to the medical staff at the Hines VA Hospital for there exceptional care of John.

A Memorial Mass will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 24th at St. Christopher Church, 4130 W. 147th Street, Midlothian. Due to the Coronavirus restrictions, interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity in John's name would be appreciated.
