Joseph J. LaMantia, 1927-2025. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine LaMantia, nee Razgaitis. Beloved son of the late James LaMantia, and the late Carmella, nee Pessalano. Loving father, and best friend to Michael (Martha).  Fur Dad to Laddie, and fur Grandpa to Tyler, and Snickers. Beloved brother of the late Rose Garcia, nee LaMantia, and brother-in-law to the late Al Garcia. Beloved Uncle to nephew Robert Garcia, and the late Raymond Garcia, and niece Marlene.

Joseph was an avid Chicago White Sox & Chicago Bears fan, and anyone who played against the Chicago Cubs.  He also loved to attend silent retreats at least once a year for decades at Bellarmine Jesuit Retreat House in Barrington, Illinois.  Joseph loved to bowl, bet on the horses, and to play poker with his Italian childhood friends.  When reflecting on his past, Joseph told his son many times that he "lived a great life".  He will be sorely missed.

Visitation Saturday morning, May 17, 2025, 8:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Chapel Prayers beginning at 10:30 A.M. from the Becvar & Son Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th Street, Crestwood, to Incarnation Catholic Church, 5757 W. 127th Street, Crestwood, for an 11:00 A.M. Mass.  Interment Private. The family kindly asks that if you are attending the wake or funeral, to please dress in Chicago White Sox or Chicago Bears attire, if possible.
