Kathryn “Katie” Fregeau-Torres age 39 yrs
Katie found peace on 6/15/26 after a lifelong battle with mental illness. Before illness dimmed her brilliant blue eyes, Katie was a precocious little girl who loved wearing dresses, watching Disney movies on repeat, bossing around her gaggle of male cousins and her brother Brian. She was the firstborn grandchild on the Sigel side and the only girl on the Fregeau side. Girl power was the name of the game and she dominated. Katie was a competitive swimmer and lover of all bodies of water, whether a puddle or the Irish sea. She had dreams of becoming a teacher and worked for several daycares, always enjoying being around the innocence and exuberance of children. Katie had a unique outlook on life. Instead of being defined by her mental health, Katie felt she had the correct perspective of the world and everyone else had it wrong. Katie experienced highs and lows, but she loved tenaciously and was fiercely loved in return. Simple pleasures brought her the most delight, whether that was a good thunderstorm or a cuddle with any animal she could get her arms around. Her music soothed her, and her doodling gave her a creative outlet. Happiness and joy did not escape her and for that her family is grateful. The loss of Katie is deeply felt by her parents Ken and Cathy, nee Sigel, Fregeau, her brother Brian and her legacy Abigail, grandparents Bob and Marianne Sigel,( the late James) and Roberta Fregeau, countless Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends who all loved her fiercely. In lieu of formal services, and in honor of Katie's memory, the family encourages a donation to anyone you know who may be struggling, or to a cause that is dedicated to the treatment, awareness and assistance to those suffering from mental illness. We are hopeful that by honoring Katie with honesty it will awaken compassion, unconditional love and understanding for all afflicted brothers and sisters, daughters and sons.

To You, O Lord, we humbly entrust this child, so precious in Your sight.Take her into Your arms and welcome her into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping nor pain, but the fullness of peace and joy with Your Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.Amen.
