Kenneth John Safarik, U.S. Air Force Veteran, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at his Crestwood residence at the age of 81 years.  Loving husband of Virginia Rose, nee Kucik.  Beloved father of Marie (Mark) Washack, James (Tracy), and John (Eve).  Cherished grandfather of Jacob (Paulina), Tyler, Emily, Josh, Alyssa, Alexander, Matthew, and Samantha.  Dear brother of Richard (the late Leah), Geraldine (the late Patrick) Czarny, Daniel (Kim) Stang, and the late Nadine (Robert) Tracy.  Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Longtime friend of Jack Van Eck and the late Terry Van Eck.  Funeral services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital (www.stjude.org) would be appreciated.  For more info:  (708) 824-9000 or www.becvarfuneralhome.com
