Linda McDonald passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, December 3rd , 2023. She was 48 years old and lived in Crestwood, Illinois. Linda was born as an only child in Cicero where she met her two lifelong best friends in grade school and has remained close since. True to her passion she majored in photography and graduated from Columbia College Chicago. In typical Linda fashion she followed her dreams and started working at Getty Images where she was surrounded by photography every day. Always looking for new challenges she made coworkers become friends at Corbis, the Associated Press, Jupiter Images, and Glow Images. Bringing her undeniable enthusiasm, positivity, and infectious laugh everyone loved her and has a funny "Linda" story. Her greatest blessing in life was the birth of her son, Roy and daughter, Jessica. They were the light of her life and greatest accomplishment. Roy has her outgoing personality and dark curly hair. Jessica has her radiant smile and quick wit. She was beyond proud of her kids and loved them more than anything. Linda continued to embrace her love of photos by working as a freelance photographer for Southwest Suburban Publishing and taking pictures of rural landscapes. Her favorite hobby was to cook all different types of cuisines for her family as she cherished her grandma's recipe box. Later in life Linda reunited with her high school sweetheart, Eric Saalfeld, where they enjoyed their time together listening to music, playing games, and relaxing with their dogs. Linda is survived by her son, Roy Ebersold and daughter, Jessica Ebersold, the love of her life Eric Saalfeld, her mother Kathleen McDonald, father Bill McDonald, her aunts Mary Lucas Lucie and Diane Challenger, and countless cousins. She is preceded by her grandparents Delores & Frank McDonald and Dorothy & John Cavanaugh. Services for Linda's celebration of life will be held December 17th , 2 - 5pm at the Becvar and Son Funeral Home, located at 5539 W. 127th St., Crestwood, IL, 60418.  Any donations for the services can be sent to the GoFundMe Link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/w75bue-linda-mcdonald.
