Margaret "Peggy" Paul, 85, long time resident of Crestwood, IL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 20, 2026. Peggy was born in Chicago on January 15, 1941 to Violet, nee Bonnevier, and William Brown. Peggy dedicated her entire life and love to her family and friends. She would always be by your side, if it be for support or just a good laugh. Peggy's kindness and generosity have touched our lives in countless ways. Christmas time being one of them. For over 60 years Peggy would welcome those she cared about into her home at Christmas. Her heart was always open to those she cared about; by making sure everyone always felt at home and was loved.
Peggy will now be joining the love of her life, the late John P. Paul. Her mother, father, and all her siblings, Nancy Wapnarski, Doug, Billy, and Linda Vanderbilt. Peggy said her last goodbyes to her daughter Diane. Her grandchildren Jennifer, Brittany, and Bryant. And to her great-grandchildren who she loved dearly, Violet and Scarlett.
Peggy's constant presence and genuine nature will always be a great source of inspiration to all who loved her.
