William L. Hesik of Palos Heights, passed away with his loved ones near on May 11, 2016. Son of the late Joseph L Hesik and Christine Hesik (nee Slavik). Brother to George (Joyce) and the late Joseph, Edward, Frank, Rose, Fran, Irene, and Lilly. Adoring husband of 60 years to the late Doris Hesik (nee Carter). Father to Deborah Robak (former late husband Gary), Barbara Gabriello (Clark, former husband Frank Vaughan), and the late Caryn Hesik (former late husband Richard Zygadlo, love of life Elmer Hartford). Grandfather to Roxanne Robak, Kelly Vaughan, Alixx Lanik (Mitch, nee Zygadlo), and Billy Hesik. Great Grandfather to Elijiah, Madelynn, Oliver, and another on its way. Brother in law, uncle, and cousin to many, friend and confidant to all who knew him. William was a prostate cancer survivor, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and an avid Harley rider. A now retired Iron Worker, William recently celebrated 55 years in Local 1. Anyone who knew William was probably on the better side of his generosity. He never hesitated to help all those around him, and tell you how to do things right. Visitation Sunday, 3-9 P.M.
