Daniel E. Smith

Daniel E. Smith, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the age of 74.  Beloved husband of Linda Smith, nee Okonski.  Loving father of Danielle (Nick) Episcopo and Kimberly (Chris) Carberry.  Cherished grandfather of Aislin, Gianna, Dominick, Gwendolyn, Rory, and Vincent.  Dear brother of David Smith and the late Robert (Carmen) Smith.  Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Special 4-legged father of Lenny and Gail.  Daniel was a car enthusiast and loved to fix and repair just about anything.  He worked as a civil servant for the village of Oak Lawn and also worked for the Burbank School District.  He enjoyed spending time with and taking care of elderly friends of his. Daniel also loved telling stories about his time in California and all the adventures it brought him.  Finally, he loved his daughters and all of his grandchildren, who will miss him dearly.
