Marvin E. Smith, "Smitty", 88 years.  U.S. Army and Marine Korean War Veteran.  Beloved husband of the late Josephine Smith.  Loving father of Debbi (David) Hengstebeck, Donna (Jim) Sollami, Mark (Georganne) Smith, Michael (Lory) Smith, Kathleen (Jeff) Smith-Savage, and the late Gale (the late Michael) Pache.  Cherished grandfather of Gina (Brent) Elstrom, Anthony (Tiffany) Sollami, Derrick (Kristin) Hengstebeck, Dustin Hengstebeck, Drake (Jaclyn) Hengstebeck, and Nicholas Smith.  Dear great-grandfather of Grace and Brock Elstrom, Ellie and Abby Sollami, and Harrison Hengstebeck.

Visitation Sunday, October 1st from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M.   Funeral Monday, October 2nd, beginning with Chapel Prayers at 10:30 A.M. at the Becvar & Son Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th Street, Crestwood, to Incarnation Catholic Church, 5757 W. 127th Street, Crestwood for an 11:00 A.M. Mass.  Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.
