Norma Louise Moscato, age 91, Crestwood, IL and a former resident of Jefferson City, Mo, passed away on July 28 2023 at her home in Crestwood Il.She was born on April 29 1932 in Long Island, New York, the daughter of Vincent & Claudia Cafarelli. She had one brother, Chuck, and one sister, Edith. As a child, she lived in a small Italian burrough where everyone spoke Italian. Norma grew up speaking only Italian. Her father did not like this at all. He stated that they live in America now and you need to speak English, so during World War II, he chose to move to the city of Chicago. She married Charles Anthony "Tony" Moscato on May 12 1951, from this marriage, she was blessed with 5 children. A devoted mother, she enjoyed family vacations and dedicated her early years to raising her 5 children. In 1975 they moved to Jefferson City, Missouri, to get away from the city. In 1983, with everyone out of the house, she moved back to Chicago to be closer to her family. There she went to work for Carsons and later for The Edward Don Company from which she retired. She was a lifelong White Sox fan and enjoyed watching them on TV. A somewhat split baseball family, she was kind enough to tolerate The Chicago Cubs fans in the house. Survivors include her 5 children, Tony Moscato of California, MO, Linda Gow, (Donald) of Glenview, IL, Michael Moscato (Angel) of Jefferson City, MO, Edward Moscato (Barb) of Glenview, IL, and Paul Moscato of Crestwood, IL. Grandchildren: Valerie Gow, San Carlos, CA; Lauren Moscato (Tyler Young), Jefferson City, MO; Dominic & Benjamin Moscato, both of Glenview, IL. One great granddaughter, Silvia Bealer of Jefferson City, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles Cafarelli, & one sister, Edith D'Ambrosio. A grandson, Michael Vincent Moscato, Jefferson City, MO.
