Richard E. Koopman

Richard E. Koopman, 66 years.  Beloved husband of Kathleen, nee McConville.  Loving father of Stacy (Jason) Lambin, Jennifer (Mike) Brower, Rachel (George) Slawson, Stephanie (Matt) Heim, and Curtney (Anna) Koopman.  Cherished son of Barbara and the late Curtney.  Adored grandpa of Justin, Jack, Andrew, Mya, Riley, Georgie, Teagan, Tommy, Sadie, Zach, Lily, and Sophia.  Dear brother of Ken, Bill, Paul, Debbie, and Cindy.    Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.   Retired as Fire Chief, and later Financial Director, from the Garden Homes Fire Protection District after over 40 years of dedicated service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Garden Homes Firefighter Association (3800 W. 119th Street, Garden Homes, IL 60803) would be appreciated.  Visitation Tuesday, February 23rd from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Becvar & Son Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th Street, Crestwood.  (708) 824-9000 or www.becvarfuneralhome.com
