My deepest sympathy for all of Johnny's family. I've known him all my life. What I remember most was his kindness...he helped everyone ! My mom was a single parent, and Belinda used to send Johnny over, quite a few Christmas's, to help us put up our "real" tree...he would have to cut it to fit in the stand. He fixed her car several times... ALWAYS w/a smile !! One time he was fixing something outside my bedroom window, and there was a bees nest there... and they all came out and chased him down Cicero Ave !!! They got him good ! That was a story he'd remind me of years and years later. What a hard worker he was....his family came first, and he did everything for them ! He was strong, handsome, and very kind. Rarely did you see Johnny NOT holding a child !! He loved children, and they loved him !! So many nieces and nephews, and they all had their own special relationships with him. I'm sorry to see you go so soon... I think you just needed to rest...and I know how much you missed Belinda... thank you for everything you've done for me, and thank you for your kindness... you will be missed by so many, but now, your job is done... and you are at PEACE ! ♥

Uncle Johnny you were the kindest and gentlest man. From the day I met you at the age of 15 you treated me always like I was apart of your family. I remember you coming over everyday when Amber was a baby to take her outside on your shoulders walking around as proud as could be. She would see you n her eyes would light up! Your love for children was real and incredibly heartwarming. Always giving and the first one to be there when you needed help. Always excited to see me n Tommy when we would come over and sit at your table in the screened in porch. We would laugh so hard between you and Auntie Bea you both just were so funny n entertaining. Those memories I will always hold close to my heart. I loved how everyone had a nickname mine was Sambo. I always felt like I was apart of your family because of how kind n giving n caring you where to me. You made me feel special and happy...In fact I was apart of your family and am grateful and feel blessed to have you as my Uncle. You were the BEST!! I love you and I love Auntie Bea. And I know you are together again which I know how deeply you missed her. I will do my best to return the favor and keep our families together so you can rest easy and peacefully with Auntie Bea..Please give Auntie Bea a hug n kiss from me and also a kiss n hug for you! You two were the best aunt and uncle I could have ever asked for. Love you to the moon n stars n back........Sambo ❤️
